Joey Hatcher joined Hightower Communications August 2018 and is the newest member of the executive team. As the Director of the Technical Division, Joey interfaces with wireless carriers and infrastructure customers to support small cell, DAS, and node installation and maintenance. He leads a technical team as growth continues in small node construction including fiber optic and microwave back-haul installation and maintenance.
Joey began his career back in the early land mobile days of communication in 1980. He brings 38 years of technical and leadership experience to the Hightower team. He retired from US Cellular as Operations Manager with 22 years of experience in the cellular industry with many of those years in various engineering support roles. In the early nineties while at Watkins Johnson Company, he led a team of engineers that built receivers and de-modulators for the Department of Defense during the Gulf War.
As a teacher and lifelong student of leadership, Joey’s passion to pour into others continues as He completes a degree in Ministry Leadership and teaches in small bible study each week. He enjoys time with his wife of 35 years and time with his son that attends college at the University of Mount Olive.
